Omnicom unveiled its groundbreaking acquisition of Flywheel Digital, the digital commerce arm of Ascential.

Flywheel is known for boosting sales for top brands on platforms like Amazon, Walmart, and Alibaba. They’ve been a player in digital commerce since 2014, offering tailored solutions for over 4,500 brands. Their team of 2,000+ professionals covers retail operations, media execution, and market intelligence. Plus, Flywheel’s cutting-edge technology, the Flywheel Commerce Cloud, equips businesses with real-time insights for informed decision-making and sales amplification.

John Wren, Omnicom’s CEO, sees this as a strategic step as global e-commerce is set to hit $7 trillion by 2025. This acquisition promises great outcomes for clients across the board. Flywheel will be integrated as a Practice Area within Omnicom, led by Duncan Painter, Ascential’s current CEO.
